The crypto platform Giottus has announced the launch of ApeCoin (APE) The cryptocurrency that runs APE, the APE NFT (NFT) network. APE token is now listed on major exchanges around the world like Binance along with OKX.
Giottus users could deposit APE tokens on the ERC-20’s blockchain from Thursday. Transfer and trade for APE will be possible on March 18, 2022.
The APE ecosystem is a group made up of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) two of the well-known NFT collections on the Ethereum blockchain. ApeCoin (APE) is the governance token native to APE that powers the community that is decentralized within the APE ecosystem. APE is the principal token for all new services and products by Yuga Labs, the company responsible for the NFT projects.
Since its debut in the month of April, 2021 BAYC is now the largest name of its kind in the NFT world, with multi-million dollar sales and a growing roster of famous owners, like Serena Williams, Adam Draper, Eminem and Mark Cuban.
The minimum price for buying one of the 10,000 unique BAYC NFTs currently stands at 100 Ethereum (equivalent to about Rs. 2.2 crores). Yuga Labs has recently acquired two of the biggest companies in NFTs -Meebits and CryptoPunks and Meebits — to broaden its portfolio.
ApeCoin (APE) traded 7.4 percent more at $11.13 at 9.50 am IST as per the data from CoinGecko the digital cryptocurrency price and data platform. It has a circulation amount of around 120 million, and the total supply is one billion.
